The American Psychological Association (APA) provides guidelines called ‘Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct’; these guidelines provide an ethical standards set of rules of conduct for psychologists. The American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS) serves as a division of the American Psychological Association, and it has the mandate to regulate matters of law and psychology. However, AP-LS has a specialty use for training called the forensic psychology recognized by the APA. The APA provides policy requirements to the forensic practitioners who felt compelled by the difference in forensic psychology in relation to more traditional areas and resolved to revise the specialty guidelines for forensic psychologists (American Psychological Association, 2010).
The aim of these guidelines is to improve the specialty practitioners’ activities and foster the development of stabilized forensic psychology. In addition, it highlights the need to respect the rights of those who are being served by these guidelines.

The application of these guidelines goes directly to the nature of the matter at that instance, and it does not relate to the practitioners’ area of specialty. The Guidelines for Practice of Parenting Coordination give direction to new areas of practice that need assistance in coping with the standards. These areas are managed accordingly for them to comply with the set rules and regulations governing them due to their complexity and the need to refine in view of adequate and recommended framework suited to the code of conduct. There include Guidelines for Evaluating of Dementia and Cognitive Change among adults as well. Dementia is health issues that cause fictional limitations as the population continues to age. The guidelines here were designed to allow psychologist to evaluate what this dementia brings about and to look into other age-related changes that can lead to health problems (American Psychological Association, 2010).
APA and AP-LS provide the basic ethical consideration that applies to all forms of discipline with the aim of uplifting standardized legal framework of conduct. In addition, the guidelines are designed to comply with the rule of law to guide their members and others who would like to join and become part of team.
